 It’s June 2006…summer is officially here with new bikini models,
and swimsuit models, surf art, surf artists, surf photos, surf photographers, and
tons of hot events covering local and regional surf contests in the OC, LA, and
Southern California area! So we won’t be featuring a
bikini model or swimsuit model here and there, we’ll be going to the beach and
getting hundreds and thousands of new images of the “girl next door,” or should
I say the “hometown hottie next door.” And of course all the girls will be
wearing the hottest little bikinis and swimsuits by OP, Billabong, Roxy,
Raisins, Poko Pano, Radio Fiji,
Volcom, LSpace and Love Surf Love. And if for some reason you can’t make it to
the beach, we’ll be there to capture it all – even when you can’t skip summer
school or work!
Well school’s out, and the summer of 2005 is a dim flicker
in the rear view mirror of our Classic Woody Beach Cruiser, as we cruise into the
summer of 2006. The Christmas and Holidays Season have come and gone, the New
Years Eve Parties that so beautifully kicked off the New Year’s Day of Football
Games and the Super Bowl, followed by endless hours of Basketball and Football
highlights on Fox Sports and ESPN.
And for all you LA Lakers fans, it looked like we had
something good around Valentines Day, but as you know the disappointments only
lead to the inevitable St. Patrick’s Day drinking and partying hard on downtown
Main Street, involving massive amounts of SkyVodka, Cuervo, Jack Daniels and
Red Bull Energy drinks, which is now quietly replaced by Corona’s and
Pacifico’s with a lime by the poolside.
April Fool’s day and the 2006 Tax season is over! (finally)
And Cinco De Mayo and the Memorial Day weekend gave us all great excuses for a
long extended holiday weekend, giving us the opportunity to break out the
sunscreen, sunglasses, body boards, and surfboards so we could hit the beaches
for the first time in 2006.
For the moment none of this really matters, what does matter
is that we have 90 continuous days ahead of us called - Summer…hell yeah! Spring
Break 2006 at the River and the trips to Mexico were just a warm up, consider
it a spark, compared to the fire of insanity we’ll be having the next 90 days,
enjoying hot summer days at the beach, followed by cool summer breezes and
parties along Sunset Boulevard - all the way from Santa Monica, Burbank, and
Studio City to Downtown LA, West LA, and Hollywood. Summer 2006 is finally
here! It’s right in our front windshield like a June bug just waiting to get
hit!
For most guys out there who are big fans of
surfillustrated.com, I am sure you are (as I am) looking forward to late night
barbeques with a burger, a nice T-Bone Steak or Rib Eye Steak, a little A-1
Steak Sauce and a cold Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors, Coors Light, Miller, Miller
Lite, Corona or Pacifico beer with a lime. Or
for all you European import fans, maybe a Heinekin beer, Amstel
Light, or cold Newcastle to wet
your taste buds.
These are just a few of the things Southern California folks
enjoy after a long hard day of work at the office, after sitting in rush hour
traffic for an hour or two, or after a hot day at the beach surfing, body
boarding, or just laying in the sun.
Best of all, there’s nothing better than hanging with the
peeps, homies and the bros at the local Oceanside
pubs, bars and cafes watching all the hometown hotties walk by wearing their
new bikini, swimsuit, or thong bikini - if you are lucky.
Fortunately, living in Huntington Beach,
we do not have a shortage of college girls, hot chicks, beach babes, or sexy
swimsuit models. Actually, now that I think about it it’s pretty much that way
all up and down the coast from Newport Beach, Dana point , Laguna Beach, San
Diego, and San Clemente, to Long Beach,
Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Venice Beach,
Santa Monica, and Malibu!
