Nicole Bruckman has always had a creative eye for
expression. When she was a young girl she started to develop her style
by taking private art lessons in her home town of Mentor, Ohio. She
also actively participated in art programs throughout high school.
After high school Nicole started her four year journey at Columbus
College of Art and Design, where she took basic skills and turned them
into her own unique style.

Since Nicole graduated in 2000 she has had opportunities to broaden her
horizons. She relocated to London, England for 6months to observe
culture and trends. During this time she was also able to travel
throughout Europe. All these experiences have helped Nicole not only
gained a greater appreciation for other types of artists but it has
also inspired her to achieve her goals. She returned to Cleveland, Ohio
and started work as a Graphic Designer at Directed Decision. She also
earned freelance work with the Cleveland Magazine, Northern Ohio Live
and The Free Times. Nicole has recently made the decision to relocate
to Huntington Beach, California to seek new career opportunities.
Nicole prefers to use oil paint as her primary medium, although she has
also works with ink, marker and acrylic as well as some digital pieces
in Freehand, Photoshop and Quark. Just because Nicole is comfortable
with one style has not stopped her from exploring new mediums or taking
on projects outside her normal scale. In fact, one challenge she faced
recently was creating a wall mural. Never before had Nicole worked with
a space that large or used wall paint to create her images.
